Tahoe Queen - Lady of the Lake
Posted on May 16, 2008

What kid wouldn’t love to cruise Lake Tahoe on a triple-decker paddlewheel boat? For that matter what adult wouldn’t either? Being on the water at Lake Tahoe is a must — you can’t really appreciate how beautiful and clear the water is until you see it from this perspective.
The picturesque Tahoe Queen is a paddleboat moored at the end of Ski Run Road at South Shore Lake Tahoe. This boat line is unique as it runs every day of the year. She originally was launched the last week of June 1983, and the first public cruise was Aug. 11, 1983.
Once a day there’s a “Family Fun” cruise (late May through early September) with special guest “Tahoe Tessie;” kids will love hearing about this silly serpent’s adventures.
The Tahoe Queen offers a variety of cruises — dinner, scenic and special events like weddings. Saturday nights offer a “Captain’s Dinner” with a champagne and appetizer reception and four-course meal ….. this boat has it all!
