Stony Ridge Uncommon Kitchen
Posted on May 27, 2008

The Stony Ridge Cafe was started in July, 1994. It initially opened as a coffee house just serving light breakfasts and pastries.
In September later that year, the coffee house was purchased by Doug and Dawn Baehr. At that time the business started incorporating a full breakfast menu.
In time the Stony Ridge Uncommon Kitchen became a favorite local spot as well as a destination for second home owners and the many visitors to beautiful Lake Tahoe.
A dinner menu was added in 2000, and went through several incarnations. The final version became a successful and popular endeavor
Although tucked away in the corner of the New Moon Natural Foods store, just outside of Tahoe City, the Stony Ridge Uncommon Kitchen won’t disappoint hungry travelers.
This locals’ favorite offers organic, healthy dining to go, including a Thai coconut noodle bowl, all-natural turkey sandwich with cranberry chutney, sushi rolls and a “Magic” salad with mint, toasted macadamia nuts, green beans and mango.
