Northstar at Tahoe Ice skating rink

Northstar at Tahoe is one of the best family friendly ski resorts not only in beautiful Lake Tahoe …. but anywhere.

If you are looking for other activities besides skiing, then consider enjoying the open air ice skating rink.

The ice rink is located in the luxury Village at Northstar.  The Village at Northstar includes five separate condominium residence buildings offering a majestic alpine setting to enjoy all that Lake Tahoe has to offer.

With a large central plaza, the outdoor skating rink, cozy firepits, exciting boutique shops and fine dining at trendy restaurants and cafes, The Village at Northstar has established a new standard for ski resorts.

A few of the stores in The Village include: Starbucks, the Rubicon Pizza Company, the Mikuni Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar, an art gallery, Freckles Children’s Boutique and a North Face store.

The awesome ice skating rink is 9,000-square-foot in size and offers incredible Sierra Mountain views.

Around the ice rink  are comfortable railside seating where spectators watch the countless ice skaters enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

There are also fire pits that make a great location for families, children, and groups to stay cozy warm.

There’s nothing better on a cold,  winter’s evening than delicious  s’mores. You can buy a s’mores kit inside True North and roast your own s’mores. Sit around the open fire and roast marshmallows.

To quench your thirst, get a either a hot chocolate or mulled cider from a nearby kiosk. You can also enjoy a tasty margarita from the rinkside bar.

Access to the ice rink is free. If you need to rent ice skates, there is a $5 rental charge.
