Glacier Meadow Loop Hiking Trail

Posted on June 10, 2008

Glacier Meadow Loop at Lake tahoe is a very short, self-guided nature trail that begins and ends at the Eastbound I-80 rest stop on Donner Summit.

This is a relaxing stroll with signs along the trail explaining how glacial action carved and polished the area.

This .5 mile easy loop trail is located in the Tahoe National Forest and is used for hiking only. It is a very popular trail from June to October.

Pets must be either leashed or off-leash but under direct voice control.

To get there from I-80, exit Castle Peak, on the south side of I-80, turn left. The trailhead is on the east side of the parking lot.
