Nevada Gambling Revenue Down

Gambling across all of Nevada, including Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and Reno is down. The casino’s win declined primarily due to the Las Vegas casino fire, a soft economy and unusually poor weather. These reasons held the win for Nevada casinos in January to about $1.06 billion. This is down nearly five percent, compared with the same month a year earlier.
For those unfamiliar with the term “win”. The $1.06 billion win was the amount left in the casino coffers, after gamblers wagered $12.7 billion during January, including $10.2 billion in slot machine bets and the balance on table games. Full article
